
According to the report, the province's socio -economic situation in the first 6 months of the year was quite good, with an estimated economic growth rate of 8.2% in the first 6 months of 2025. Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector reached 4.5%; the industry and construction sector reached 11.9%; and the service sector reached 8.6%.
Agricultural production in the first 6 months of 2025 was generally stable. The industrial production value was estimated at VND 1,050 billion, reaching 46.13% of the 2025 plan, up 17.85% over the same period last year. By June 6, 2025, the whole province had disbursed VND 1,123.7 billion, reaching 34.7% of the plan assigned by the Central Government; reaching 30% of the plan assigned by the province, up VND 582 billion (10 percentage points) over the same period in 2024. State budget revenue by June 4 was VND 427.56 billion, reaching 37.7% of the assigned estimate, up 29% over the same period in 2024.

The market situation is generally stable, and trade and service business activities in the province are bustling. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are estimated at VND 6,250 billion, up 25% over the same period last year, reaching 51.21% of the 2025 plan. Import and export turnover in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at 25 million USD, up 16.28% over the same period last year, reaching 55.5% of the 2025 plan...
The fields of culture, society; science and technology, resources and environment; internal affairs; inspection, citizen reception; judicial work; national defense, security; etc. are maintained and implemented.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and pointed out a number of limitations and causes in the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of the year, such as: The progress of planting spring crops in 2025 is slow compared to the set plan; the progress of afforestation in the province is low, the number of forest fires tends to increase; the preparation of dossiers to adjust land use planning for the period 2021-2030 at the district level and the land use plan for 2025 at the district level is still slow; the work of site clearance for some key traffic projects in the province still faces many difficulties... At the same time, delegates proposed a number of solutions to effectively implement tasks in the coming time.
Also at the meeting, delegates gave their opinions on 10 draft resolutions to be submitted to the regular mid-year session of 2025, the 10th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2025, expected to be held in the near future.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dang Binh directed units and localities to continue to fulfill their responsibilities before the merger of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces; speed up the completion of granting land use right certificates as soon as possible; strengthen the management of minerals, land and environment; continue to promote the program of eliminating temporary houses in the province according to plan.../.
