At the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office briefly informed about the results of implementing the tasks of socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2024; the implementation of programs, projects, resolutions and conclusions of the central government of the province.

Accordingly, in 2024, the province's socio-economic situation continues to develop. 12/16 main targets have been achieved and exceeded the plan, of which 3 outstanding targets have exceeded the set plan: Average income per capita - GRDP (reaching 72.8 million VND/person); Total retail sales of goods and service revenue (reaching 105.2% of the plan); Export turnover (reaching 103.1% of the plan). Although the growth rate has not met expectations and growth scenarios, the scale of the economy continues to increase, the total product value in the area at current prices reaches 141,326 billion VND, an increase of 16.7% compared to 2023, equal to 105.72% of the plan, 1.63 times higher than in 2020 (leading the Central Highlands region).

In the fields of culture - society, foreign affairs activities continued to receive attention and achieved positive results, notably the activities celebrating the 120th anniversary of the province's founding, contributing to promoting the image, potential and strengths of the locality, attracting tourists to the province. Social security policies, people with meritorious services, poverty reduction, the program to eliminate temporary houses and dilapidated houses were focused on synchronous, timely and effective implementation, especially completing and handing over over 1,500 support houses for poor households, households with housing difficulties, policy families, and ethnic minorities in the province. Epidemics in humans, crops and livestock were basically controlled and stable. National defense was strengthened; political security, social order and safety were maintained.

Also at the press conference, the representative of the People's Committee of Krong Bong district responded to VTV8 Channel, Vietnam Television with the article "Dak Lak: Schools are unsafe due to the risk of landslides". To prevent possible risks, the People's Committee of Krong Bong district has coordinated with the construction consultant to inspect and conduct specific surveys to have a solution to ensure safety, and arrange medium-term capital for the period 2025-2030 to implement reinforced concrete roof embankments. The school has announced solutions to help parents feel secure in sending their children to school.
Department of Education and Training leaders respond to press agencies
