The Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to the report on the proposed project of the Urban Area - Eco-tourism, Resort and Ancillary Services of the Southeast Economic Zone.

(E-Portal) On the afternoon of August 16, 2024, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung chaired a meeting with the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board and relevant sectors on the project of Urban Area - Eco-tourism, resort and supporting services of the Southeast Economic Zone (phase 1).

Reporting at the meeting, the consulting unit said that the Nam Cua Viet New Urban Area project is an urban area and ancillary services for the activities of the proposed Economic Zone to be built in Trieu An commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province with an area of ​​about 104.3 hectares. With the above area, the New Urban Area is expected to have about 2,035 adjacent residential plots and 112 villa plots arranged to maximize the open space for the project after construction.

The resettlement area is arranged with 95 plots of land, an average of 250m2/plot. The resettlement plots are divided into suitable areas right on the spot, with full functional areas such as healthcare , culture, schools, sports... for people to stabilize their lives, without too much impact on the lives and culture of local people.

The total investment capital of the project is estimated at over 1,742 billion VND. The project's operating period is 50 years. When completed, the project will contribute to creating a driving force to attract investment and develop the local socio-economy; directly contributing to the development and growth of the regional economy. At the same time, it will increase revenue for the local budget, create jobs and income for workers...

At the meeting, representatives of industry leaders focused on discussing to agree on the project name; investment phases; adjusting the housing construction ratio and how to implement it in accordance with current regulations...

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung welcomed and highly appreciated the project proposal, saying that the proposal is consistent with the province's socio-economic development plans and strategies until 2030.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung assigned the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district to propose the implementation of the project of urban area - eco-tourism, resort and auxiliary services of the Southeast Economic Zone. To implement the project, the relevant units were assigned to coordinate with the Economic Zone Management Board to support Trieu Phong district in completing legal procedures to submit to competent authorities for approval.

Assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to guide the procedures for land acquisition and the list of land acquisition. Regarding resettlement and resettlement area construction, assign the Department of Planning and Investment to study appropriate forms and provide specific instructions for implementation. Assign the Economic Zone Management Board to preside over and coordinate with Trieu Phong district to organize the implementation as soon as possible to have a basis for implementing the following contents...
