Dien Bien TV - On March 31, the Provincial People's Committee held the March 2025 meeting with many important contents. During the morning working session, delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on: Report on the implementation of the socio -economic development plan, ensuring national defense and security in the first quarter, and key tasks in the second quarter of 2025.

Accordingly, in the first quarter, some economic indicators grew quite well compared to the same period last year, typically: Industrial production value is estimated at over 1,100 billion VND, up 7% over the same period last year; total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached over 6,800 billion VND, up over 17%; export turnover of goods and services is estimated at over 24 million USD, up nearly 12%...

The work of reorganizing the apparatus has been implemented drastically, synchronously, and effectively, ensuring the correct spirit of the Central Government's direction. Poverty reduction and social security policies continue to be effectively implemented; national defense and security are maintained.

Regarding the implementation of the public investment plan: It is estimated that by March 31, the whole province has disbursed more than 500 billion VND, reaching over 16% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister ; of which the capital to implement 3 national target programs has disbursed more than 178 billion VND, reaching nearly 20% of the assigned capital plan.

In the second quarter, delegates proposed to accelerate the progress of site clearance for works and projects and the progress of disbursement of public investment capital in 2025; promptly implement macadamia and coffee planting projects to ensure timely harvests...

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong acknowledged the results achieved by the province in all areas in the first quarter. The Provincial Party Secretary also requested: The Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities continue to implement tasks in the work of merging and streamlining the organizational apparatus; promote determination and unity among departments, branches and localities to complete the target of GRDP growth of over 10% by the end of 2025.

During the afternoon working session, delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on the following reports: Adjusting and assigning the State budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 2025 for units after restructuring and streamlining the apparatus; Approving local adjustments to the 1/5,000 scale zoning plan for the Northern area of Dien Bien Phu city, associated with Dien Bien airport; Local adjustments to the 1/500 scale detailed construction plan for the Northwest urban area of Dien Bien Phu city; Decision on regulations on economic and technical characteristics of the On-demand Service related to notarization of the province and some other important contents.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments, branches and units to absorb and synthesize delegates' opinions, edit, supplement and soon complete the content of reports and submissions. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized the need to continue to accelerate the rural electricity supply project from the national grid under the "Brighten Dien Bien" program; complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; carry out well the political and ideological work for civil servants and workers affected in the process of rearranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus; proactively review, inventory, handle and arrange public assets after the merger, ensuring compliance with the provisions of law.../.
