The authorities of the Kharkiv region (Ukraine) have announced the mandatory evacuation of the city of Kupyansk. This information was announced by the head of the Kharkiv region military department, Oleg Sinegubov.

According to Oleg Sinegubov, Kupyansk residents need to evacuate because local authorities cannot ensure heating energy for the city this winter.

“The military situation is deteriorating. We cannot ensure the heating season there, including the supply of electricity and humanitarian aid,” Oleg Sinegubov said.

Currently, the Russian army has approached the Oskol River and may cross it in the near future.

A decision was also taken to evacuate the Kondrashevskaya, Kurilovskaya and Petropavlovskaya, Borovskaya settlements of the Izyumsky district. About 250 families living there will be forcibly evacuated. There are still about 4,000 civilians in Kupyansk, mainly pensioners. Mr Sinegubov said that forced evacuation measures will be applied because people do not want to leave.

Ukraine warns residents in Kupyansk

The Strana.ua publication published footage from Kupyansk, where a car with a loudspeaker drove around the streets and informed residents about the evacuation.

“Cars with loudspeakers in the city announced that there was no electricity, gas, or water, and that it could not be restored, so people needed to evacuate,” Strana.ua reported.

Earlier, information about a possible evacuation of part of the Kharkov region was announced. On October 8, Mr. Sinegubov said that a number of settlements in the direction of Kupyansk and Izyum were in danger: “Of course, we will not only evacuate children and their families from these settlements, but also consider the issue of compulsory evacuation of all civilians.”

Ukraine evacuated 32 settlements in Donetsk and Kharkov in September

On September 25, the Ukrainian authorities announced the forced evacuation of children and their families from 32 settlements in the Kharkiv region, as well as the Donetsk region.

“Due to the security situation, compulsory evacuation of children and families from a number of settlements in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions has been announced,” the Ministry for the Reunification of Territories of Ukraine informed.

Of the 32 settlements, 29 are located in the Kharkov region and 3 are located in the Donetsk region.

Earlier, evacuations were carried out in Glukhov, Svesa and Esmani in the Sumy region. On October 1, the mandatory evacuation zone was expanded and forcibly introduced in the Sumy region.

Chasov Yar on the brink of collapse

According to Readovka channel, in the fortress city of Chasov Yar, despite the great victories of the Russian 98th Airborne Division in the city, the capture of this settlement will still take a long time.

Currently, Russian units have taken control of the Oktyabrsky area, where a bridgehead could be created, but it is clear that without parallel actions to create a pincer movement, the assault forces cannot advance.

The fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has somewhat changed the original purpose of the defense plan at Chasov Yar has significantly hindered the Russian offensive momentum. The Russian army is following the traditional way of creating a siege, cutting off reinforcements and logistics to the city through the T-0504 route to wear down and break the fighting will of the AFU at Chasov Yar.

Russia is besieging and destroying AFU in Kursk

Rybar channel said that in the Kursk direction, the Russian army is gradually advancing into a number of important areas. Along with that, the Russian side is also actively conducting airstrikes to prevent the possibility of Ukraine withdrawing troops and domestic defense production for the Kursk battlefield.

In the Glushkovo district, clashes were reported in the northern suburbs of Novy Put. However, it is unclear whether the Iya units have full control over the village?

In the Korenevo district, the Russians are attacking in the Lyubimovka and Tolsty Lug areas. The AFU continues to hold positions to the east of both settlements, trying to avoid being surrounded, but it is only a matter of time.

In the north, the AFU launched an attack on Olgovka with the support of heavy vehicles. Russian units repulsed the attack and inflicted significant losses on the enemy.

Several images from the front line show a destroyed turret of a Challenger-2 tank in the Sheptukhovka area.

In the Sudzha district, Russian units are advancing towards Russkoye Porechnoye from the north, gradually breaking through the AFU defenses in the Nechaevo and Nizhneye Parovoye areas. Control of the forest belts in this area will allow the Russians to create a bridgehead for further offensive development towards Russkoye and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye.

To the south, Russian shock groups are advancing towards Agronom and Kolmakov, forming a ring around AFU units at Russkaya Konopelka and Fanaseevka. In the Plekhovo area, the front line is still holding.

According to some reports, in the Sumy region, the Russian military attacked and destroyed the AFU HIMARS complex in Koshary with a precision missile strike. This is not the first HIMARS launcher destroyed in this region. The Russian side is closely monitoring the Sumy border area with Kursk. Any AFU movement in the area will be fiercely retaliated with glide bombs and ballistic missiles.
