Binh Dinh Club is about to fall out of V-League
Binh Dinh Club was unable to take advantage of the make-up match with Hanoi Police Club (CAHN Club) to rise to a safe position in the V-League.
Despite releasing 3 players including Nguyen Filip, Quang Hai and Cao Pendant Quang Vinh to the Vietnam national team, and missing Viet Anh due to injury, CAHN Club still won big against the home team Binh Dinh with a score of 5-1.

At Quy Nhon Stadium, coach Alexandre Polking's students easily controlled the game, tearing apart the defense of the martial arts team with quick passes and passes. Leo Artur and Alan Grafite took turns scoring doubles, along with Thanh Long's goal, helping CAHN Club score 5 goals past goalkeeper Huynh Tuan Linh. It is worth mentioning that Artur and Grafite just last season played for Binh Dinh Club and contributed greatly to bringing the Central representative to second place in the V-League.
The heavy defeat against CAHN Club left Binh Dinh Club stuck in 13th place with 21 points after 24 matches. At the bottom of the table, Da Nang Club also has 21 points after 24 matches, but is behind Binh Dinh due to a lower goal difference (-19 compared to -18). SLNA remains in 12th place with 23 points after 24 matches.
Highlight Binh Dinh Club 1-5 CAHN Club: The away team 'poured goals' | Round 25 V-League 2024-2025
Binh Dinh Club has fallen into "death's door", because in the last 2 rounds, coach Tran Minh Chien and his team have to play away at Ho Chi Minh City Club (round 25) who are very thirsty for points, then return home to welcome Hanoi Club, a team with extremely high performance.
In the opposite direction, Da Nang FC will visit Ha Tinh FC (who are almost out of the target) in round 25, then meet SLNA in the final round. SLNA will meet HAGL, a team that has secured their place in the league, in round 25, before facing Da Nang FC in round 26.
Not only do they have the toughest schedule, Binh Dinh FC must overcome a psychological barrier. The team has not won in the last 16 matches (4 draws, 12 losses). Although they improved their spirit by trying until the end to draw 2-2 with The Cong Viettel or 1-1 with Thanh Hoa, Binh Dinh FC needs more than that to stay in the league. Coach Tran Minh Chien's team must win, instead of just drawing or losing.
V-League rankings after 24 rounds

Currently, Binh Dinh Club and Da Nang Club have 21 points each. Binh Dinh Club is temporarily ranked higher due to better goal difference, but if the two teams are still equal on points at the end of the tournament, the head-to-head index will be considered to determine the overall ranking.
In this aspect, Da Nang FC is the superior team as it won both the first and second leg against Binh Dinh FC. Therefore, if Binh Dinh and Da Nang have the same number of points and share the bottom two positions, Binh Dinh will be relegated, while Da Nang will play the play-off.
HAGL breathed a sigh of relief
The resounding victory of CAHN Club over the home team Binh Dinh indirectly helped HAGL stay in the league successfully.
The mountain town team has 28 points, 7 points more than Binh Dinh and Da Nang. With only 2 rounds left in the tournament, HAGL is certain to stay in the V-League next season. This is good news for coach Le Quang Trai and his team, after a turbulent youth season and preparing to say goodbye to a key player.
The relegation race is now only a matter of 5 teams: Da Nang Club (21 points), Binh Dinh Club (21 points), SLNA (23 points), Ho Chi Minh City Club (25 points) and Quang Nam Club (25 points).
If they do not lose to Binh Dinh in the match at Thong Nhat Stadium in round 25, Ho Chi Minh City Club will stay in the league and at the same time "lead" Quang Nam to a safe finish.
