Chieng Hoa commune officials propagate the law to prestigious people in the community.

Chieng Hoa commune currently has 35 villages, with 3,242 households and over 17,400 people, including Thai, Mong and La Ha ethnic groups living together. The whole commune has 35 people recognized as prestigious people in the community, including village elders, village chiefs, party cell secretaries, heads of front work committees, retired cadres... They are the core force in propagating and mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State at the grassroots level; actively participating in socio -economic development, building new rural areas, and ensuring security and order.

In Pa Xa Hong village, when mentioning Mr. Tong Van La, the local people always respect and trust him. As a prestigious person, Mr. La, together with the Party cell, the village management board, and mass organizations, actively propagated the conversion of ineffective corn-growing land to fruit trees; mobilized people to donate more than 1,000 square meters of land, contribute working days to build rural roads, build village gates, incinerators, and install lighting. Up to now, 100% of the village roads have been concreted, bringing a new look to Pa Xa Hong village. Mr. La shared: If you want people to trust and follow, you must be a good example, a pioneer, and encourage your family to do it first. Any movement is the same, as long as it brings practical meaning, people will believe and unanimously implement it.

In Muong Pia village, Mr. Luong Van Thuc, Party cell secretary and village chief, is a prestigious person trusted by the people, because of his sense of responsibility in work and exemplary role in economic development. Mr. Thuc said: Currently, my family is taking care of 3 hectares of teak trees, 1 hectare of cassava, 5,000 m² of fruit trees, maintaining the raising of 5-7 cows, each year earning nearly 200 million VND. The family always shares production experiences, encourages people to apply science and technology in cultivation and livestock, especially for poor households.

Thanks to the support of prestigious people, emulation movements in Chieng Hoa commune have been effectively implemented, especially the movements of building cultural life, building new rural areas, "All people protect national security"... contributing to arousing the spirit of community solidarity, maintaining security and order at the grassroots level. The socio-economic situation of the commune in recent years has had many positive changes. Up to now, the poverty rate has decreased to 21.8%; rural infrastructure has been invested and upgraded; roads, schools, and cultural houses have been built spaciously.

Mr. Cu A Dang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chieng Hoa commune, said: To promote the role of prestigious people in grassroots mass mobilization work, every year, the commune organizes visits, encourages, and gives gifts; at the same time, it trains and updates legal knowledge, current information, and creates conditions for prestigious people to visit, learn from experiences, encourage and motivate, helping them promote their role in propaganda and mobilization of people at the grassroots level, being a solid bridge, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
