'Vietnamese culture does not accept dishonest advertising'

On September 15, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Vietnam Advertising Association to announce the Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards 2023.

This award is part of the activities to build and promote national brands in the Strategy for developing Vietnam's cultural industries to 2020, with a vision to 2030.

At the press conference, Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized that the award-winning products need to be creative, highly aesthetic, and carry Vietnamese cultural identity in many different forms to guide the community towards beauty and humanistic values.

In particular, Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirmed: "Vietnamese traditional culture never accepts dishonesty and false advertising".

According to information from the Organizing Committee, the Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards 2023 includes two award systems. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's awards include 1 First Prize (30 million VND), 1 Second Prize (15 million VND) and 1 Third Prize (10 million VND) for each category (TV advertising; outdoor billboard advertising; advertising on electronic newspapers and social media platforms and integrated media advertising).

The BTC Award is proposed and judged by the Vietnam Advertising Association for all categories. It is a grand final award (Grand Prix) for advertising media on television, radio, outdoor, and online.

Along with that are 27 awards for creative categories in radio, television, outdoor advertising (OOH), online advertising; awards for brand categories; awards for media categories.

Of which, the cash prize for the final grand prize (Grand Prix) is worth 10,000 USD (equivalent to 240 million VND).

It is expected that a total of 40 prizes will be awarded at the event and the total prize value will be up to nearly 500,000,000 VND.

From September 20 to November 20, the Organizing Committee will receive entries. On December 17, 2023, the final and award ceremony will officially take place. The final and award ceremony is expected to take place in December 2023 in Hanoi.
