Yesterday afternoon (May 10), at the graduation ceremony of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the image of male student Ngo Van Hieu carrying his close friend Nguyen Tat Minh to the podium to receive his diploma moved many people.
It is known that right after finishing his class at school, Hieu - currently a 5th year student at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy quickly packed his luggage and took a bus to Hanoi to attend Minh's graduation ceremony. That small but loving action once again spread the beautiful story of friendship between two boys from Thanh Hoa.

The image of Hieu carrying Minh up to the podium to receive his diploma moved many people.
Minh felt very happy and joyful when seeing Hieu appear at the graduation ceremony. During the 10 years of high school, Hieu became the "legs" carrying Minh to school. "Our friendship was built on the spirit of helping and respecting each other. I am grateful and consider Hieu as my brother. I hope that when we are old, we can both reminisce about memories together," Minh confided.
Nguyen Tat Minh graduated from university after more than 4 years of study with a degree of Excellence in Computer Science , CPA score 3.23/4.
Previously, in 2020, the story of "10 years of carrying a friend to school" by Ngo Van Hieu and Nguyen Tat Minh deeply touched public opinion. The special friendship of the two was likened to a fairy tale in real life, touching millions of hearts.
Minh and Hieu grew up together in a small hamlet in Dong Thang commune, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province. Minh was born with a congenital disability: his legs and one arm were twisted and gradually weakened over time.
However, a miracle happened when Hieu - a friend from the same neighborhood silently became Minh's "legs". Throughout his high school years, Hieu carried his friend to school every day, regardless of rain or shine.

Tat Minh received his diploma.
In the 2020 high school graduation exam, Minh was admitted to university with 28.1 points in the A00 combination (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and 0.5 priority points. Hieu entered the Medical Faculty of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy after failing his first choice to enter Hanoi Medical University due to a lack of 0.25 points.
At that time, many people thought that Hieu deserved to be admitted to Hanoi Medical University thanks to his good academic ability and noble deeds. However, Hieu shared that even though he was offered this, he still refused because he wanted to study on his own ability.
Over the past 4 years, Hieu and Minh have kept in touch. During the first two years of university, when he did not have to attend clinical classes at the hospital, Hieu often took advantage of his free time to visit Minh in Hanoi.
"In the first two years before clinical training, whenever Hieu had free time, he would go to Hanoi to visit his younger brother. We often went to beautiful places in Hanoi, ate delicious food... When we returned to our hometown, Hieu and I would invite each other to visit our teachers and friends," Minh said.
As for Hieu, the male student also hopes Minh will be present at his graduation ceremony at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy next year.
