Van Quan successfully organized the 2023 Excellent Mediator Competition

The Organizing Committee awarded first and second prizes to participating teams.

– On August 10, Van Quan District People's Committee organized the 2023 Excellent Mediator Competition.

The competition was attended by 17 teams representing 17 communes and towns in the district. Each team had 3 members, who were typical mediators in residential areas.

At the contest, the teams went through the following rounds: theory round, situation handling round, and skit round (this round is not mandatory). The contest content is related to regulations and laws on the organization and operation of grassroots mediation; knowledge about society, ethics, customs, good practices, village conventions, and conventions; skills in reconciling conflicts, disputes, and violations of the law within the scope of grassroots mediation...

After a day of urgent and serious work, the contest was successfully held. During the competition, the teams showed careful preparation in terms of knowledge, content, and presentation of the competition... ensuring quality and attractiveness, creating an exciting atmosphere, attracting the attention and enthusiastic support of the audience. Many teams created staged skits that were close to real life, bringing many practical meanings.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 5 consolation prizes, and 4 secondary prizes to the participating teams. Accordingly, the team of Diem He commune won the first prize.

The contest is an opportunity to raise awareness of the position, role and significance of grassroots mediation work for the whole society; at the same time, it is also a place to meet, exchange and share experiences in mediation work between mediation teams, an opportunity for mediators to be trained in legal knowledge and professional skills, thereby improving the quality and effectiveness of grassroots mediation activities. Through this, it creates a strong change in awareness of law compliance, limiting conflicts, disputes and violations of the law in the community, contributing to building a cultural life in each village and block.
