In recent times, Van Yen district has focused on building brands for agricultural products, especially OCOP products; closely directing and methodically implementing plans from the beginning of each year.
The District People's Committee has assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the standing agency of the District New Rural Area Coordination Office, to proactively advise and issue documents directing communes and towns to implement a systematic and scientific product branding program.
Up to now, the whole district has 38 products certified as OCOP products; of which, there are 36 3-star products and 2 4-star products.
In 2023, the district strives to have 11 more OCOP products and 100% of products will be put on e-commerce platforms.
