Nghia Lo town implements winter-spring rice production plan

Nghia Lo Town People's Committee has just held a conference to deploy the 2025 winter-spring rice production plan. Accordingly, this year's winter-spring crop, the town plans to cultivate 1,980 hectares.

Of which, the area for producing purebred rice and high-quality hybrid rice accounts for 1,155 hectares; the area for producing the remaining varieties accounts for 825 hectares.

Regarding the variety structure, Nghia Lo town requires communes and wards to select rice varieties suitable to local conditions; encourage the use of stable rice varieties with good yield and quality such as: Huong Chiem, HT1, Nghi Huong 305, Nhi Uu 838, J02, TBJ3, Khang Dan... In particular, focus on directing the production of Seng Cu and Huong Chiem varieties according to the geographical indication of Muong Lo rice.

In terms of season, the town is divided into two seasons: Season I accounts for 75–80% of the area, sowing from June 5 to 10, seedlings are 12–15 days old, flowering from August 15 to 30. Season II accounts for 20–25% of the area, sowing from May 15 to 30, and ending in June.

In addition, for winter crop areas such as corn and vegetables, Nghia Lo town recommends that people use short-term rice varieties such as Nghi Huong 305, LY2099, Huong Chiem, Seng Cu, HT1, Nep, Viet Lai 20, TH3-3...

In order to organize the 2025 winter-spring crop production to ensure safety, efficiency, and increase economic value per unit area, Nghia Lo town has assigned specific tasks to specialized sectors and local authorities to coordinate and implement according to the plan, suitable to local practical conditions; and has a backup seed plan to promptly overcome any unfavorable situations that may arise.
