Gasoline and oil continue to rise

In the world market, gasoline and oil prices today, January 6, continued to increase from the previous session.

According to data from Oilprice, at 8:36 p.m. on January 5 (Vietnam time), Brent oil was trading at $78.33 per barrel, up $0.74, or 0.95%, from the previous session. WTI oil was at $73.09 per barrel, up $0.9, or 1.25%, from the previous session.

Oil prices rose after minutes of the US Federal Reserve meeting showed inflation was under control.

Although the Fed's meeting minutes did not specify when the bank would start cutting interest rates, recent discussions have suggested that inflation is under control and interest rates will be cut soon.

Lower interest rates reduce the cost of consumer borrowing. This could boost economic growth and increase demand for oil.
