Gold continues to soar

Today's 9999 gold price is listed by DOJI at 72.30 million VND/tael for buying and 74.00 million VND/tael for selling.

At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, at the time of survey, the listed price of SJC gold was at 72.90 - 73.70 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 72.90 - 73.95 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 72.90 - 74.20 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,071.880 USD/ounce. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank , the world gold price is about 59.943 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 12.757 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Gold experienced a week of "sublimation" trading with continuous increases, closing the trading session at 2,071.8 USD/ounce, recording a higher record than the old record in 2020. Gold marked the third consecutive week of increase, specifically increasing by 3.4%.
USD continues to fall
Today, the VND/USD exchange rate increased slightly. The world USD continued to decline.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank is adjusted to 23,923 VND/USD, up 0.032 VND compared to the closing price of the trading session on December 1.

Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,069 VND/USD. The US dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,069 VND/USD.
The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of upward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,080 and a selling price of 24,450, an increase of 20 VND compared to the trading session on December 1. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.
Japanese Yen exchange rate drops sharply
The Japanese Yen exchange rate continued to fall sharply today; surveyed on the morning of November 4, 2023 at specific banks as follows:
At Vietcombank, the buying rate is 159.30 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 168.63 VND/JPY, down 1.04 VND for buying and 1.1 VND for selling. At Vietinbank, the buying and selling rates decreased by 0.17 VND, equivalent to 159.94 VND/JPY and 169.64 VND/JPY. At BIDV, the buying rate increased by 0.72 VND and the selling rate increased by 0.74 VND, reaching 157.48 VND/JPY and 165.75 VND/JPY, respectively. At Agribank, the buying and selling rates were 158.80 VND/JPY and 163.74 VND/JPY, up 0.45 VND for buying and 0.48 VND for selling, respectively.

At Eximbank, the buying rate decreased by 0.68 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.7 VND, respectively, to 161.82 VND/JPY and 166.34 VND/JPY. At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.67 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.62 VND, respectively, to 157.64 VND/JPY and 168.66 VND/JPY. At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.67 VND and the selling rate, respectively, to 161.81 VND/JPY and 168.36 VND/JPY.
Thus, today Eximbank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and Agribank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the banks.
Domestic coffee prices remain stable at high levels
Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:12 a.m. on December 4, 2023, stable and at a fairly high level. Currently, the average coffee price in the Central Highlands provinces is about 59,600 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is 59,900 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces on December 4, 2023 was at a fairly high price of VND 59,700/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee was purchased at VND 59,900/kg.

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, is purchased at 58,900 VND/kg.
In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 59,800 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 59,900 VND/kg.
Currently, Vietnamese coffee is entering the main harvest season; the General Statistics Office of Vietnam estimates that coffee exports in November reached about 80,000 tons, down 37.93% year-on-year, bringing exports in the first 11 months of the year to 1.34 million tons, down 14.86% year-on-year, also contributing to supporting the upward price trend.
