Super economical tour of Ho Chi Minh City
Nguyen Do Hoang Anh (27 years old), a tour guide working at Phuong Ngoc tourism service (Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City), said that if you know how to spend reasonably and make a specific plan, it is not difficult to get around Ho Chi Minh City with only 100,000 VND.
Hoang Anh said he has shared ways for young people to enjoy their experiences in Ho Chi Minh City in an interesting, super-economical way with a moderate budget.

According to Hoang Anh, start a new day at Le Van Tam Park (District 1). Here, you can breathe in the fresh air. Read a book on a stone bench. Sit and chat with friends under the leaves.
"In addition to Le Van Tam Park, you can choose Tao Dan Park (District 1), Le Thi Rieng Park (District 10)... The cool scenery with lots of trees will help you have peaceful moments in the middle of a noisy city," said Hoang Anh.
"After that, you can go to Notre Dame Cathedral by bus for only 7,000 VND/ticket. Or if you are nearby, you can walk and enjoy the city scenery and the streets...", Hoang Anh instructed.

This tour guide said that at Notre Dame Cathedral, young people can freely take photos and capture beautiful moments at the famous architectural work with strong French architectural imprints. Next to it is the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, a famous tourist attraction with historical, architectural and cultural values. Also right there is Nguyen Van Binh Book Street.
"For book lovers, this is an ideal stop. You can read books and take pictures at beautiful bookstores. I believe that in just a few hours in the morning, you can have hundreds of beautiful photos in this area," said Hoang Anh.

At noon, Hoang Anh suggests that you can find a sidewalk broken rice or beef noodle shop with a "reasonable" price of only 25,000 - 30,000 VND/serving. Then, try the experience of sitting on the ground, sidewalk, lawn... to drink coffee - PV) at 30/4 Park or nearby Turtle Lake.
"The price of a cup of coffee, iced tea... ranges from 15,000 - 20,000 VND/cup, very suitable for young people, especially students or those with low incomes. It would be interesting to drink coffee, soft drinks and watch the traffic on the street", Hoang Anh shared.

According to Hoang Anh, in the afternoon, you can visit some museums in Ho Chi Minh City. These include: War Remnants Museum (28 Vo Van Tan, District 3), Vietnam History Museum (2 Nguyen Binh Khiem, District 1), Ho Chi Minh City Museum (65 Ly Tu Trong, District 1), Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts (97A Pho Duc Chinh, District 1), Southern Women's Museum (202 Vo Thi Sau, District 3), Ton Duc Thang Museum (5 Ton Duc Thang, District 1)... to see famous architectural works, and also an opportunity to experience education, emotions and discoveries, understand the past and origins... "Museum tickets are quite cheap, some places are only 5,000 - 10,000 VND, even free", Hoang Anh added.

Plan carefully
From 4 p.m., Hoang Anh suggests going to Ben Bach Dang Park (District 1) and walking along the west bank of the Saigon River. You can walk and take photos, enjoy the cool breeze. Then, don't forget to stop by Nguyen Hue Walking Street (District 1) to join in the diverse entertainment and cultural activities that are often held here.
"Around Nguyen Hue walking street, in the alleys of Ton That Thiep, Le Thanh Ton... there are many popular eateries with many delicious dishes such as: banh canh, bun cha, bun thit nuong, banh cuon... with reasonable prices, around 30,000 - 35,000 VND. Or you can have a snack at street vendors with grilled rice paper, skewers... priced at only 10,000 - 12,000 VND/dish", Hoang Anh said.

"To save money, you can travel by bus or ride a motorbike taxi. If you use promotions on apps, the cost of travel will be even cheaper," Hoang Anh shared.
Hoang Anh added that it is completely possible to spend 100,000 VND to travel around Ho Chi Minh City, even to have a fun and meaningful day. Because you can see the city, experience the cuisine, and have the opportunity to take beautiful photos...
Huynh Thu Thuy (29 years old), a tour guide working at Saigon Tourist Travel Service Company Limited, also said that it is not difficult to travel around Ho Chi Minh City with only 100,000 VND.

"Save breakfast foods like bread and sticky rice in your notebook or phone. Drink coffee, ginseng water, lime tea... at sidewalk stalls. For lunch and dinner, you can eat broken rice or vermicelli at some popular restaurants. Don't forget to find addresses in advance so that your travel is convenient and easy to find. You can also walk around some libraries, convenience stores, supermarkets, bookstores, shopping malls... to rest and escape the sun. In my opinion, you should plan carefully to have a great experience during the day in Ho Chi Minh City," Thu Thuy shared.
According to this female tour guide, it will be more fun if you go with a group of friends. Then, you can walk to see the streets. In addition, if you have a companion, taking photos is very easy.
