Two veteran households that received support to build houses on this occasion are Mr. Le Dinh Sinh (village 4, Binh Hoa commune) and Mr. Nguyen Van Tu (village 10/3, Ea Bong commune). These are two members of the association who are poor and disadvantaged households in the locality. The old houses of the families were all degraded but they did not have enough conditions to repair or rebuild.
Representatives of the units handed over the house to the family of veteran Le Dinh Sinh. |
The newly built houses for veterans meet the "3 hard" house standards (hard foundation, hard frame - wall, hard roof) to serve living needs with a total cost of more than 250 million VND.
Of which, each family is supported by the Ministry of National Defense with 80 million VND/house, the rest is contributed by the family and supported by the Veterans Association at all levels, local authorities, and benefactors in terms of working days and a part of raw materials.
Representatives of the units presented the house keys to veteran Nguyen Van Tu. |
The donation of “Veterans’ Affection” houses is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, demonstrating the care and concern of the Veterans Association at all levels for the families of members in difficult circumstances; at the same time, promoting the spirit of mutual love and camaraderie of veteran cadres and members, helping members have conditions to settle down and stabilize their lives, creating motivation for them to develop the economy , actively contributing to the cause of building new rural areas, reducing poverty, and developing the local socio-economy.
