On November 26, Vietnam Social Security informed that within the framework of cooperation activities between Vietnam Social Security and the Korean Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (KCOMWEL), on November 25-26 in Hanoi , the two sides held a workshop on "Sharing experiences in applying information technology, digital transformation and customer care services in social security" and the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period 2025 - 2030.

The activities aim to evaluate the implementation results of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the 2020 - 2025 period, at the same time identify key cooperation contents and sign the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the 2025 - 2030 period.
Accordingly, the two agencies prioritize sharing experiences in digital transformation, improving customer service quality, enhancing prevention solutions, and resolving regimes related to work-related accidents and occupational diseases, contributing to the development of each country's social security system.
At the event, Deputy Director of Vietnam Social Security Dao Viet Anh acknowledged and highly appreciated KCOMWEL's experience in operating modern information technology systems, especially in managing occupational accident and disease regimes. At the same time, this is an important reference source for the development strategy and management innovation of Vietnam Social Security in the coming time.
In particular, the leader of Vietnam Social Security emphasized that, with the rapid development of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI), Vietnam Social Security considers digital transformation as the foundation for reforming management and improving the effectiveness of implementing social insurance and health insurance policies. The social insurance system has promoted the digitization of business processes, connecting and sharing data with ministries, branches and localities; expanding online public services; effectively implementing Project 06 of the Government, actively contributing to the construction of a digital government.
KCOMWEL representative, Mr. Seo Yunseok - General Director of Digital Transformation Center also said that KCOMWEL is responsible for managing occupational accident insurance and welfare regimes for all workers in Korea. Registration and compensation procedures have been greatly simplified thanks to the implementation of online instructions and the application of AI systems to support nursing data analysis, predict appropriate treatment time, helping to shorten the application review process.
KCOMWEL is also testing secure connections with AI models such as ChatGPT 4.1 and Gemini 2.5 Flash to improve accuracy and processing speed. Mr. Seo Yunseok affirmed that with the achievements, KCOMWEL will continue to accompany and share professional experience with Vietnam Social Security in the period of 2026 - 2030.
Within the framework of cooperation activities, Vietnam Social Security and KCOMWEL signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the 2025 - 2030 period, continuing to expand cooperation in many areas, such as: Digital transformation and AI application; effective fund management and operation; improving customer service quality; medium and long-term training and delegation exchange; big data research; occupational accident prevention and rehabilitation.
