Indochina by Ngo Van Sac - Top 3 in the Modern and Contemporary Award category from the Asian Art Organizing Committee in London in 2025
Asian Art in London was launched in 1998 and includes specialist exhibitions and auctions organised by participating art institutions, galleries and auction houses specialising in Asian art.
Annual exhibitions and auctions are held in central London (UK) and surrounding areas in October and November.
Not only Indochina paintings, Vietnamese contemporary artists are also worth paying attention to.
This year's Asian Art Week in London will feature about 20 exhibitions and thematic auctions on Asian art, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Islamic, Indian and Vietnamese art, held simultaneously at major auction houses such as Sotheby's, Bonhams and Christie's.
Representing the voice of Vietnam, Thang Long Art Gallery brings the exhibition Vietnam - Fascinating Beauty , held at Sotheby's London auction house.

Spring Comes by Vu Cong Dien
This is a good sign for Vietnamese fine arts when domestic galleries have made efforts to bring contemporary artists and new Vietnamese artistic voices to the world in major art events.
The fact that the Vietnamese art market, both domestically and internationally, in recent years has only been bustling with Indochinese paintings, while contemporary authors are rarely exploited, is a sad phenomenon.
Many individuals and organizations in the Vietnamese art market are making efforts to change that reality, as in the case of the exhibition Vietnam - Fascinating Beauty in London this time.
"Thang Long Art Gallery wishes to introduce and promote Vietnamese contemporary art more widely to interested people abroad, especially at major events such as Asian Art Week in London," said a representative of Thang Long Art Gallery.

Peaceful beauty
The exhibition Vietnam - Fascinating Beauty introduces to international art lovers outstanding works by contemporary Vietnamese artists such as Hong Viet Dung (1962, member of the Five Group), Nguyen Thanh Binh (1954), Vu Cong Dien (1976) and Ngo Van Sac (1980).
According to the organizers, each artist brings their own distinct style and technique, bringing a unique perspective that reflects their deep appreciation for the captivating beauty of Vietnam.
The works bring about a dialogue between nature and humans, in harmonious and peaceful settings, as a quiet resistance to the turmoil and anxiety of the modern world that is changing every day.
Notably, the wood-burned painting titled Indochina (2024) by artist Ngo Van Sac has been nominated in the Top 3 of the Modern and Contemporary Award category from the Asian Art Organizing Committee in London in 2025.
This work in particular, as well as the wood burning art of artist Ngo Van Sac in general, will be shared and discussed in the discussion on "Tradition in Contemporary Art" which will take place on November 2 at Sotheby's London.
