With the coordination of the provinces and cities, the flights brought the message of a new year full of energy, joy and happiness to passengers, while affirming the commitment and efforts of Vietnam Airlines to always accompany the tourism industry to bring wonderful experiences to visitors.

Accordingly, flights VN 628 departing from Bangkok (Thailand) and VN 157 departing from Hanoi landed at Da Nang airport at 06:45 and 07:15 on February 10, respectively. Flight VN1340 from Ho Chi Minh City landed at Cam Ranh international airport at 08:00 on the same day.

Passengers on the flights were given flowers, enjoyed art performances and received New Year gifts as soon as they landed at the airport. Some lucky passengers were given free air tickets at the event. The program was organized to create a joyful and vibrant atmosphere in the first days of spring.

The event to welcome the New Year of the Dragon contributes to promoting aviation and tourism, as well as promoting the culture, image and hospitality of the destination. This is also an annual activity in the socio -economic development cooperation program between Vietnam Airlines and provinces and cities across the country.

Many ao dai designs and colors are used by flight attendants, ground staff, and Vietnam Airlines Business Lounge staff instead of uniforms when performing duties at the airport and on Tet flights.

Besides organizing "first flights", Vietnam Airlines simultaneously launched a series of activities to welcome the New Year of the Dragon "above the clouds".

As the national airline of Vietnam, the traditional Ao Dai has been introduced by Vietnam Airlines to friends around the world on millions of flights over the past 30 years. To make the New Year atmosphere more vibrant, many Ao Dai designs and colors are used by flight attendants, ground staff, and business lounge staff of Vietnam Airlines instead of uniforms when performing duties at the airport and on Tet flights.

In particular, on some flights, flight attendants perform ao dai with the themes "Sac Sen" and "Dang Hoa Nien Phu" with delicate motifs created by ao dai designer La Sen Vu.

In addition, dozens of dishes with Tet flavors have been served by Vietnam Airlines on all domestic flights during main meal times and international flights with hot meals. For business class, passengers can enjoy Tet meals on all routes without any departure time limit.

Dishes such as sticky rice with gac fruit, braised pork, pork roll, fried pork roll, pickled onions, pickled shallots, pickled cucumbers, pork head cheese, chicken vermicelli with dried bamboo shoots, etc. will help shorten the waiting time and flight journey of passengers when they can enjoy the taste of Tet in the air.

In addition, Vietnam Airlines has implemented additional activities during this period such as decorating the walls of the aircraft in the business class cabin, showing music videos celebrating Tet, providing paper rings for wrapping the cutlery set for business class meals decorated according to the theme...

In particular, passengers on all flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of February 10, 2024 (the first day of Tet) will receive lucky money with discounted airfares applicable to all booking classes. The discount will be applied to passengers who purchase tickets online via the Vietnam Airlines website and mobile app.

With this series of activities, Vietnam Airlines hopes to bring the atmosphere of Lunar New Year 2024 closer to passengers, and contribute to spreading the traditional beauty of Vietnam on flights.
