Viettel received the 24th series of Creative Youth Awards in the Army

The Military Industry and Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ) has just received 10 24th Military Creative Youth Awards with high-tech equipment and artificial intelligence. At the 24th Military Creative Youth Awards ceremony on June 11, the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense assessed that in the military science activities of the entire army, the Creative Youth Award is a bright spot, demonstrating the spirit of creativity, enthusiasm and aspiration to conquer the scientific peaks of the Army's youth. At this year's award, Viettel Group won 1 First Prize, 4 Second Prizes, 4 Third Prizes and 1 Encouragement Prize. Reviewed from 777 works of 42 units under the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, Viettel's Research and Production Project of 3D S-band Tactical Radar VRS - SRS is 1 of 6 projects that won First Prize. Currently, Viettel has equipped more than 40 SRS stations for radar stations of the air defense and air force nationwide with a value of up to thousands of billions of VND. The remaining topics and initiatives focus on the field of artificial intelligence (AI), including software to recognize human behavior from videos to serve intelligent video surveillance systems (IVS), AI human resources platform, and AI-based multi-dimensional customer platform.

Promoting the value of creativity, Viettel has policies to encourage initiatives and ideas within the Group and annual events to honor initiatives and ideas. In 2023, Viettel had more than 500 initiatives and ideas and was granted 31 patents in Vietnam and 13 patents in the US. Mr. Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group shared: Creativity is one of Viettel's core values. Viettel listens to and appreciates even the smallest ideas. When creativity is ingrained in the culture, from employees to managers, creativity will happen very naturally."

Viettel's topics and initiatives at the 24th Army Creative Youth Awards: - First Prize: Viettel's topic of Research and production of 3D tactical radar station S-band VRS - SRS is one of 6 topics that won the First Prize. - Second Prize: + The simulation complex for training flight commanders and pilots of SU30-MK2, has been applied in 03 Regiments, helping to simulate situations that are difficult to organize and deploy in reality. These are considered to be particularly important topics, mastering core technology, contributing to the modernization of the Army. + Intelligent video surveillance system (IVS), automatically detects and warns authorities about behaviors such as violence, illegal intrusion, crowd gathering, theft in stores, monitoring phone use or falling asleep while driving. The software has been deployed in smart provinces/cities such as Da Nang, Vung Tau, Dong Hoi, Thai Nguyen. + AI Digital Human Platform, demonstrated at the 2024 Mobile World Congress, effectively supports sales, customer care and communication activities. The system automatically answers customer requests with the ability to handle over 100,000 calls/day, improving labor productivity and customer experience. + Smart Video Analysis Service Management Platform (VAS), Second Prize, is an intermediary platform between scientists, AI image processing research units and customers who need to use smart analysis features. The software has been deployed for more than 10 customers, both domestic and foreign. - Third Prize: + Customer Centric AI-based multi-dimensional customer platform, Third Prize, based on customer data to optimize product quality, service and revenue. + vIMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) system, third prize, provides high-quality voice and video services on 4G network, reduces device battery consumption, reduces call setup time by 3-5 times, improves sound/image quality. + 2 high-tech industrial products of Viettel Aerospace Institute won third prize. - Encouragement prize: + 1 high-tech industrial product of Viettel Aerospace Institute won Encouragement prize.
