- Immediately after closing the first trading session on Nasdaq Global Select Market, VinFast's capitalization reached 85 billion USD, far exceeding the valuation of 23 billion USD; the trading volume was 6.7 million shares, reaching a value of nearly 200 million USD. From the perspective of an economic expert, what does this mean, sir?

From any perspective, as an economic researcher, a policy advisor, or a Vietnamese citizen, I am very proud of VinFast's success in listing on the Nasdaq.

From this event, I see the remarkable growth of Vietnamese enterprises. This change is a qualitative change, very fundamental, not just an increase in scale. The proof is that enterprises like VinFast have demonstrated vision, methodical and professional steps, daring to pioneer in reaching out to the global market, daring to compete in the most fierce market in the world . This will be a historic breakthrough for Vietnamese enterprises.

- Specifically, what opportunities do you see for the business community, and more broadly for the economy from the start as you said?

The opportunity for the Vietnamese business community is huge because VinFast's listing will attract significant attention from foreign investors.

In my opinion, the appearance of VinFast will help raise the position of Vietnamese enterprises as well as officially "ring the bell" with international investors about the potential of domestic business brands, especially when international investment is in the stage of restructuring and diversifying the market.

Not only opening up opportunities to attract capital, Vietnamese enterprises can also find potential and opportunities for strategic cooperation with enterprises around the world. This is an opportunity for new meetings and new partners on a global scale. Opportunities like this are very precious.

- Although meaningful, there are still concerns that many businesses in other countries, despite their strong potential, are still hesitant to go public internationally because they are worried about costs, the burden of information disclosure, compliance with standards, and the fear that ineffective operations will damage the business image. Is it too hasty for a young VinFast with only 6 years of development, sir?

Opportunities do not always exist, they appear, then disappear. In the current fiercely competitive context, whoever seizes the opportunity will be the one who can move quickly, advance, and create a competitive advantage.

I think VinFast has correctly assessed the situation and decisively seized the opportunity. 6 years is not a long time, but with the vision, strategy, preparation and the right steps to link with strategic partners, I think VinFast is not in a hurry, on the contrary, it has prepared quite thoroughly, decisively but also not lacking in caution.

We need to support pioneering enterprises in both spirit and action.

- Nasdaq is a playground with strict classification and screening. In fact, many businesses from many countries have not been able to survive here. Regarding VinFast, what do you think about the prospect of the Vietnamese car company standing firm on this world's leading "playing ground"?

Nothing is easy in the global game and VinFast will of course have to face many difficulties and challenges on the harsh world stage. However, I believe that VinFast can stand firm because we see here the convergence of many factors, from seizing opportunities, management capacity, strategic partners, to preparation for resource mobilization, access to technology, determination, daring to think, daring to do and the desire to conquer the world market...

If successful, VinFast will not only have a place in the US but anywhere in the world. That will be a worthy reward for brave Vietnamese businesses that dare to pioneer.

- From VinFast, what do you think about the prospect of more Vietnamese businesses listing on foreign stock exchanges, to confidently assert themselves and reach international standards?

Certainly, the outlook will be like that. Domestic enterprises accessing international capital markets will be an objective trend when Vietnam's economic scale is in the top 5 of ASEAN. That is in 2022.

According to the IMF, by 2023, Vietnam will be the third largest economy in Southeast Asia. Thus, Vietnam is mature enough to participate in the world-class game. VinFast will be the enterprise that opens the wave to the world.

- From the people's perspective, what can we do to support businesses in the upcoming journey?

We should give maximum support to pioneering enterprises. Who is Vietnamese and does not want their country to have a position comparable to other developed countries in the world? And to show that pride, we need to fully support Vietnamese enterprises with both spirit and concrete actions to accompany them.

Let us look at Japan and South Korea. Their large corporations and enterprises also had to rise from the ruins of war and the initial difficulties of the past before they could succeed in the world as they do today. Their success, in addition to being dynamic, creative and courageous, is also due in part to the support of the people, the attention and companionship of management agencies, scientific organizations, institutes, schools and associations. We must learn from South Korea and Japan.

I always believe that to have a path, someone must set foot first. I believe VinFast is the one who sets the first step, the one who positions the path for Vietnamese enterprises to conquer the world. I hope VinFast and other Vietnamese enterprises will firmly step forward and succeed on that path. That path will be very difficult but also very glorious and full of national pride.
