This year, there are many goods, the price has not increased compared to normal days. On this occasion, people buy a lot of fruit to worship Doan Ngo. Lychee, rambutan, mango... are the fruits that people buy a lot.
“Prices have only increased slightly. Yesterday I sold about 50kg of rambutan and 50kg of lychee. This morning I sold twice as much. The shopping atmosphere is very bustling so the traders are very happy,” said Ms. Nga.

At An Hai Bac market (An Hai Bac ward, Son Tra district), fresh flowers, poultry, and ash cakes are also selling well. According to Ms. Phan Thi Nho, owner of Hoa Nho fresh flower shop (17 Luu Huu Phuoc), since yesterday, customers have started looking to buy flowers to worship and display on the Doan Ngo Festival.
“The type of flower that is popular and consumed a lot these days is chrysanthemums. Compared to previous years, the price of flowers remains stable, not increasing as much as other big holidays, so customers can shop with peace of mind,” Ms. Nho shared.

Surveying at the market, the price of fresh flowers ranges from 10,000 VND/single plant and from 40,000 VND/bunch of chrysanthemums depending on the type. Besides fresh flowers and fruits, in the fresh food area, the meat counter is also quite crowded with buyers.
Ms. Dang Thi Nhu Y, a meat vendor at An Hai Bac market, said that chicken and duck meat are consumed a lot by people during the Doan Ngo Festival. Normally, the amount of chicken and duck meat sold by Ms. Y is about 15-20 per day.
Due to high demand, Ms. Y sold about 40 chickens during the Duanwu Festival. According to a survey, the price of chickens ranges from 140,000 - 150,000 VND/chicken, and ducks are about 170,000 VND/chicken, an increase of about 10,000 VND/chicken compared to normal days.
