The 12th grade Biology class of the National Pedagogical University High School for the Gifted made an impression in the 2024-2025 school year when 2 students won the first prize in the national excellent student competition, many students achieved high SAT and IELTS scores. In the 2023-2024 school year, 1 student also won the national first prize.

According to statistics, in the two school years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, the Biology class had a total of 9 students participating in the national excellent student exam and achieved impressive results including: 3 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 1 encouragement prize. This school year alone, the class had 2 first prizes for excellent students at the national level belonging to Nguyen Thi Thao Nguyen and Vu Thanh Duy, both in Biology. The most outstanding student is Nguyen Thi Thao Nguyen when she won the national first prize in Biology for 2 consecutive years. Notably, in 2025, she excelled to become the national valedictorian (the candidate with the highest score among the first prizes).

Not only participating in domestic competitions, many 12th grade Biology students also affirmed their abilities in the international arena with high results, such as: A Gold Medal in the World Invention and Creativity Competition in Korea; 2 Silver Medals, 1 Bronze Medal and 1 Encouragement Prize in the USBiO competition (US Biology Olympiad online in the Asia-Pacific region) and many medals in competitions to select excellent students in the Northern Coast,...

In addition, the Biology class of 12 is also very even in terms of foreign language background. Out of 34 students, 28 have IELTS certificates of 7.5 or higher, many of them have 8.5.

In addition, 14 students participated in the SAT certification exam and achieved very high scores, especially 3 students in the top 1% of the world including: Pham Do Thai An achieved a perfect score of 1600/1600, Ha Quang Khue achieved 1,570, Nguyen Thi Thao Nguyen achieved 1,560 (this female student also achieved 8.5 IELTS) and many others achieved above 1,500 points. The remaining students were in the range of 1,350 to below 1,500 points.

Not only are they good at studying, many students in the class are also the leaders or managers of clubs in the school or inter-school in Hanoi, participating in organizing large-scale programs. Adequate preparation from academic background, extracurricular skills, English proficiency and SAT exam results have helped 12th grade Biology students win many valuable scholarships.

Examples include Hoang My Anh receiving a full scholarship from the Japanese government (MEXT); Tran Anh Thu receiving a full scholarship from Toyo University (Japan); Ninh Bao Ngoc receiving a scholarship worth more than 4.4 billion VND for 4 years of study from VinUni University, and a full scholarship from the Hong Kong University of Public Health .

Pham Do Thai An (with an SAT score of 1,600) was admitted to several universities in the US, with the highest scholarship of 88,000 USD; Tran Vu Ngoc Lam (President of the school's charity film club) won a scholarship to Swinburne University Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, homeroom teacher of Biology class 12, High School for the Gifted, University of Education, shared that the positive and good results of his students are like a great spiritual gift to him.
