This special pickup truck Vinfast VF3 immediately attracted the attention of many car lovers when it appeared, because of the boldness of the owner and the workshop. This is the first VF3 in Vietnam to be completely transformed into a unique pickup truck. |
According to Mr. Do Hoang Trung, representative of PAC Auto Service Center - the place implementing the Vinfast VF3 electric pickup truck project, a customer wanted a car with a unique design, at the same time being able to carry a large Buddha statue and only circulate within the premises of a spiritual tourist area, so he asked the workshop. |
With this request, the workshop team decided to cut almost half of the rear part of the VF 3 to shape it into a pickup truck. The original Vinfast VF3 electric mini car was yellow, then the rear roof was cut off to create a two-seat mini pickup truck with a rear bed. |
One of the biggest challenges in the process of upgrading the Vinfast VF3 pickup truck was designing the partition between the driver's compartment and the truck bed. The team of workers had to carefully calculate and choose the right material to ensure the same rigidity as the original vehicle. |
In addition, to increase the aesthetics and stiffness of the rear of the car, a spoiler has been added. Currently, the material used is steel, but in the future, the workshop plans to reinforce and replace it with higher quality materials to improve quality and durability. |
Although this VF3 pickup truck only circulates in tourist areas and does not participate in public transportation, the workshop still puts safety as the top priority. According to the workshop, converting the VF3 into a pickup truck is not too difficult, but the biggest challenge is how to combine the new details harmoniously with the vehicle structure to maintain maximum safety. |
Specifically, the bed floor is designed according to the best bearing points of the chassis, and the B-pillar is also reinforced to ensure durability. In addition, the drainage system for the bed is also carefully studied to avoid water stagnation. |
It took PAC’s team about three weeks of continuous work to complete this project. Mr. Trung shared that the entire process was meticulously carried out down to the smallest detail, to ensure that the final product was as close to the original idea as possible. The cost to convert the VF3 into a pickup truck was less than 100 million VND. |
