There are 31 enterprises and rural industrial goods production facilities participating with 44 products.
Of which, the handicraft product group (raw materials from wood, rattan, bamboo, leaves, sedge, water hyacinth, soil, stone, metal, various fibers, agricultural products) has 23 products from 18 enterprises and production establishments; the product group for preserving and processing agricultural, forestry, aquatic products and beverages has 21 products from 13 enterprises and production establishments.
Vote for typical rural industrial products based on criteria of market response and production development capacity; economics - technology - society and environment; culture and aesthetics.
Of the total 44 products entered, 39 products met the standards and 5 products did not meet the standards.
The Quang Nam Council for Selecting Outstanding Rural Industrial Products unanimously certified 39 outstanding rural industrial products; of which, 20 awards were given, including 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes, and 8 Encouragement prizes for the products.
The bonuses for products recognized as A, B, C and Encouragement prizes are 5 million VND, 3 million VND, 1.5 million VND and 500 thousand VND respectively.
Mr. Dinh Van Phuc, Director of the Quang Nam Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion, said that the selection of typical rural industrial products is an annual activity to discover and honor products with high quality, high usage value, and potential for production development and market expansion.
Thereby, supporting production development, applying science and technology to create branded products, standing firm in the market, integrating into the economy, promoting sustainable development of rural industry. Outstanding rural industrial products that are honored will participate in voting at regional and national levels in the coming time.
