Honoring 64 businesses for workers

The program "Typical Enterprises for Workers" is chaired by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in coordination with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and VCCI, assigned to Lao Dong Newspaper as the direct implementation unit, continuously from 2014 to present.

This year's program honors 64 businesses that have maintained growth in the difficult economic context after Covid-19, not only stabilizing production and increasing revenue, but more importantly, also taking good care of their material and spiritual lives.

Speaking at today’s press conference, Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), said that the greatest happiness of a business is to create jobs for workers. The greatest happiness of workers is to have a job and a satisfactory income.

Honoring businesses is a timely encouragement and motivation for businesses to overcome difficulties, reach the destination of success, create more jobs, and contribute to the development of the country.

According to Mr. Phong, being honored is also a great encouragement and source of motivation for businesses to strive even better to continue to be selected in the next votes.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that the sustainable development of enterprises has important contributions from workers.

Workers are a part of the enterprise, an important factor in creating products for society. Consumers choose the enterprise's products not only based on quality and suitability for their needs, but also based on the enterprise's policies towards its employees.

In 2023, in the context of the general economy with many prolonged difficulties, keeping jobs is difficult, but many businesses still strive to improve the quality of life of workers. This is an extremely valuable achievement.

The program is one of the specific activities of 3 parties (trade unions, employers, state labor management agencies) to implement Resolution 02 of the Politburo on innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation.
