Research institute chaired by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong 'joins hands' with German fund

The Research Institute for Socio-Economics (RISE) under Saigon University, chaired by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, has joined hands with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) to cooperate in digital transformation and connect scientists.

KAS is a German political foundation, operating in Vietnam since 1993. In Vietnam, KAS has implemented many cooperation programs with partners such as the Academy of Politics, National Economics University, and Central Economic Committee.

The two sides will research and advise on strategies and policies. Train and develop capacity for high-quality human resources in Vietnam. Transfer knowledge and conduct academic dialogue in the fields of socio-economic development, institutional reform, digital transformation and building modern governance. Create internship and employment opportunities for students, helping them apply knowledge in practice. In addition, organize seminars and talks to improve skills for learners, teachers and employees of enterprises.

The Institute of Socio-Economic Research under Saigon University, chaired by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, cooperates with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation - Germany.

Mr. Do Viet Ha, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, hopes that this cooperation will bring practical results to serve the development of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation with a vision to 2045 and Resolution 59 on international integration in the new situation.

Deputy Consul General of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Christopher Scholl expressed his wish that German organizations would be connected and supported not only by the Government but also by partners, especially experts at major universities.

Saigon University is under the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has 3 affiliated universities: Saigon University, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine and Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials.
