Vinh Long inaugurated 4 traffic bridges built by the Ministry of Public Security and Vietcombank.

(Dan Tri) - The Department of Internal Political Security (Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Long province and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) to inaugurate and put into use 4 rural traffic bridges in the area.

Attending the ceremony were former Politburo member and former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; former Politburo member and former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; General Le Hong Anh, former Politburo member and former Standing member of the Secretariat; leaders of the Ministry of Public Security , leaders of Vinh Long province and a large number of local people.

On Vietcombank's side, there was Mr. Hong Quang - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of Vietcombank Trade Union.

The 4 projects inaugurated include: Giong Tre Qua bridge, Tan Hao commune; Hung Nhuong - Tan Hao inter-commune bridge; Hamlet 8-9 inter-commune bridge, Hung Nhuong commune and Dinh bridge, Hung Nhuong commune. These are all key locations, replacing old bridges that have deteriorated and are no longer safe.

Five months ago, on April 20, in Giong Trom district, the former Ben Tre province (now Vinh Long province), the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of four rural traffic bridges took place with the participation of the Internal Political Security Department - Ministry of Public Security and Vietcombank. The total investment of the projects is 13.8 billion VND, of which Vietcombank sponsored 10 billion VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hong Quang affirmed: “The four bridges are not only simple traffic works, but also 'bridges of the people's hearts', connecting the hearts of Vietcombank staff and employees with the people here.

These bridges will open up convenient roads for travel and trade, promote socio-economic development, and contribute to perfecting the local new rural criteria.

At the ceremony, the People's Committee of Vinh Long province also awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals who have made positive contributions to the socio-economic development in Hung Nhuong and Tan Hao communes.
