Vinh Long: Manhunt for man who fired gun, injuring and killing 3 people

On the evening of January 25, Vinh Long Provincial Police said that their subordinate units were urgently searching for the suspect who used a gun-like object to shoot and kill one person and injure two others in Mang Thit district.

The suspect's image was captured by a citizen's camera.

Initial information, at noon of the same day, a man about 50 years old rode a motorbike to Phuoc Trinh hamlet, Binh Phuoc commune, Mang Thit district, Vinh Long province.

After that, the man used a gun-like object to shoot at 3 people, including: Mr. HNC (59 years old); Mrs. NTKH (60 years old) and Mr. HBD (40 years old), all residing in Phuoc Trinh hamlet, Binh Phuoc commune, Mang Thit district).

After shooting the three victims, the man also used gasoline to burn down the house of Mr. HVB (60 years old), the biological father of Mr. HBD, then escaped on a motorbike.

Discovering the incident, people took the 3 victims to the emergency room, but due to serious injuries, Ms. NTKH died on the way to the emergency room.

The initial cause of the incident was determined to be that Mr. D. borrowed money but was unable to repay it. Previously, many people had come to collect the debt from Mr. D. but failed.

Upon receiving the news, the professional units of Vinh Long Provincial Police quickly arrived to examine the scene, perform an autopsy, investigate the cause of the incident and urgently arrest the suspect.
