VNeID integrates additional health care applications for people

On May 28 in Hanoi, the Center for Research and Application of Population Data and Citizen Identification (RAR Center), under the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order ( Ministry of Public Security ), held a contract signing ceremony to deploy electronic authentication services of An Khang Pharmacy through the national electronic identification application VNeID.

By integrating An Khang pharmacy's system into VNeID, people can easily access electronic prescriptions after medical examination and treatment with health insurance.

From there, with just a few simple steps on the VNeID application, patients can choose to buy medicine from An Khang without having to queue at the hospital pharmacy. Prescriptions will be delivered to your home or received directly at the nearest pharmacy, helping to save time, reduce the risk of cross-infection in the hospital environment, and at the same time provide a more convenient and safer experience.

An Khang Pharmacy CEO Doan Van Hieu Em said the signing ceremony was not simply a technology cooperation agreement, but also a manifestation of social responsibility and commitment to accompany the Government in improving the quality of medical services.

"We are committed to seriously implementing the project, ensuring absolute data security and continuously improving the system, accompanying the Government in the digital transformation roadmap for the benefit of the community," said Mr. Hieu Em.

VNeID is a national electronic identification application developed by the National Population Data Center of the Ministry of Public Security. With the value of replacing traditional documents, VNeID is increasingly expanding its role in socio-economic life, especially in essential areas such as health, education, transportation, public administration, etc.

Since the beginning of 2025, people have been able to experience the feature of buying medicine online from Long Chau pharmacy right on VNeID. The participation of An Khang continues to expand this utility network, helping to complete the "electronic health book" component, an important part of the journey of comprehensive health care for people.

With the cooperation of large pharmaceutical retail enterprises such as An Khang and Long Chau, the VNeID platform is not only an identification tool but is becoming an effective bridge between people, medical facilities and pharmaceutical enterprises. This not only reduces the burden on hospitals and physical contact, but also saves time and costs for both patients and the healthcare system./.
