Through the introduction of the Farmers' Association of Khanh Vinh district, the reporter had the opportunity to visit the fruit garden of Mr. Bui Xuan Chieu's family (Bac Song Giang village, Khanh Trung commune, Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa). This is a very potential agricultural model combined with eco-tourism in the area.

On his old motorbike, Mr. Chieu took us to visit the tree planting areas, livestock farming areas and places where tourists from the lowlands come to visit.
The entire garden is invested in and cared for very methodically by him. The fruit gardens are yielding sweet, fragrant fruit and the flowers are blooming.
Mr. Chieu shared that this entire tourist area was invested in by his family about 2 years ago, initially the number of visitors was modest. Over time, many people have come to visit, relax and enjoy the natural scenery.

Visitors can also experience the cool water by the stream and enjoy the fresh air.
With an area of 5 hectares, Mr. Chieu grows 2 hectares of rambutan, 1 hectare of grapefruit, the rest grows tangerines, oranges, jackfruit, durian, flowers and arranges space for livestock barns. His family's garden has attracted many groups of visitors such as: students of all levels, groups of businesses, associations and domestic tourists to visit.

Mr. Chieu came up with the idea of combining agriculture with tourism due to his passion and realizing the potential of the locality to develop local products. In 2023, he harvested over 20 tons of rambutan, with a selling price of 12,000 - 15,000 VND/kg and grapefruit harvested all year round sold at a price ranging from 20,000 - 25,000 VND/kg, with revenue reaching nearly 500 million VND, after deducting expenses, a profit of nearly 300 million VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Thuy - a social and cultural officer of Khanh Trung commune said that in the past 2 years, the commune has developed a tourism development project for tourists to experience and visit fruit gardens, weaving villages, and basket weaving villages of ethnic minorities. The model is being promoted effectively. To develop the model sustainably in the coming time, the locality proposed to support signboards, expand the road system, support training for farming households on tourism knowledge and invest in infrastructure.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van - President of Khanh Trung Commune Farmers' Association said that Mr. Chieu is a member of Khanh Trung Green Agricultural Cooperative and the model is attracting many visitors. Recently, the Commune Farmers' Association has coordinated with Khanh Vinh District Farmers' Association and local authorities to organize many training sessions and provide guidance to members and farmers in the area on how to combine agriculture with tourism.

Ms. Van added that the orientation of the Commune Farmers' Association in 2024 is to complete the rural community tourism development project based on the project that Khanh Trung Commune is developing. Currently, there are 10 members participating in the main industries of growing fruit trees, weaving, and producing clean vegetables.
According to the representative of the People's Committee of Khanh Vinh district, the locality has rich natural resources such as: River systems, streams and waterfalls, lakes, shallows, natural forest edges combined with community cultural identity,... which are favorable conditions for developing the district's tourism industry in general and developing ecotourism in particular.
In recent times, some locations with unique resources have been exploited and formed tourist destinations in the district such as: Yang Bay Tourist Park - Khanh Phu, Lach Stream (Ma Gia) - Giang Ly, Hot Spring - Khanh Hiep, Da Ban Stream Point - Khanh Phu, Nha Trang - Da Lat Agricultural Tourism Cooperative in Cau Ba Commune and stops along National Highway 27C,...
In addition, the district also has places with potential natural resources suitable for investment in tourism development such as: Mau River - Bau Waterfall in Khanh Thuong Commune, Zi - Ong Waterfall in Khanh Trung Commune; ecological agricultural model in Khanh Trung Commune, hot mineral spring in Khanh Thanh Commune; E Du Waterfall in Giang Ly, etc.

Khanh Vinh district orients tourism development associated with preserving and promoting tangible and intangible cultural values in the district to honor and promote the good cultural values of ethnic communities, for the benefit of society; create new cultural values, enrich traditional culture, thereby contributing to the construction of typical tourism products, increasing tourism revenue, making tourism a key economic sector in the local economic structure.
