“Empowering girls – Say no to child marriage and incestuous marriage”

On the afternoon of October 24, at Sung Tra Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, Sung Mang Commune, Plan International Vietnam in collaboration with the school organized the program "Empowering girls - Say no to early marriage and incestuous marriage".

Students of Sung Tra Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities participate in a skit to propagate the harmful effects of early marriage and incestuous marriage.

The program is part of the Girls Takeover campaign launched by Plan International, aiming to raise awareness among students, especially female students, about children's rights, the right to education, comprehensive development and the right to express their voice on issues related to themselves.

The highlight of the program was the exchange competition between 4 teams representing students from grades 6 to 9, with 3 contents: Greeting, knowledge and situation handling competition, propaganda skit on early marriage and incestuous marriage. With confident and creative performances, the teams conveyed many profound messages about children's rights, especially the right to education and development of girls in the highlands.
