In particular, Nghia Lo - the heart of Muong Lo land, has been the cradle for generations to preserve, nurture and spread that everlasting beauty. In 2021, "Thai Xoe Art" was honored to be recognized by UNESCO as a representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This event marks a great step forward in preserving and promoting Thai culture.

In that joy and pride, the awareness and responsibility of the people and the entire political system in the town towards the conservation and promotion of heritage values ​​are even stronger. Following the success of the 2023 and 2024 Competitions, which left many impressions in the hearts of the people and visitors, this year's "Sparkling Circle Dance" Competition has also brought the audience more impressive performances and emotions.

Mr. Luong Manh Ha - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Town People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 3rd "Sparkling Circle Dance" Contest - 2025 said: "The Organizing Committee of this year's Contest aims to be more innovative, creative, and professional, in which the artistry, performance style, costumes, traditional props and elaborate, higher-quality staging are emphasized to continue to conquer the Jury, meeting the expectations of the people and tourists".

In the days before the contest, 14 teams from 14 communes and wards with over 1,500 artisans and mass actors actively and passionately practiced at village and hamlet cultural houses with the spirit of "morning rice, afternoon corn, evening xoe dance".

That further affirms the love and pride in national cultural values ​​that have been deeply imprinted in the hearts of every Nghia Lo resident, contributing to preserving, honoring and conserving heritage.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thu - Phu Nham commune's Xoe dance team shared: "Although this is a competition with high and low rankings, each member of the team is determined to perform their performance with the highest responsibility and enthusiasm. The most important thing is that we participate with the spirit of solidarity, learning, and best expressing the cultural identity and beauty in each Xoe dance, each costume, props, lyrics and singing to create a sparkling Xoe circle, imbued with the love of the land and people of Muong Lo".

Ms. Hoang Thi Tuyen - Xoe Team of Tan An Ward expressed: "Xoe dance is a cultural activity of the Thai people that has a sustainable vitality in the community. In the past, Thai people danced Xoe to dispel fatigue after a hard day's work, expressing dreams and aspirations for a prosperous life and opening up new joys. Today, that meaning has not changed, Thai people dance Xoe not for the meaning of a grand festival but simply to express their passion for art, talent and thoughts. We practice and perform in the Competition with such a spirit".

Ms. Nguyen Hong Ha - a tourist from Hanoi excitedly said: "I have heard about Thai xoe for a long time, now witnessing the performances at the competition has left me with many impressions. In particular, the formations of the teams bring meaningful messages and symbols such as forming the number 30/4, the shape of a 5-pointed yellow star, and Ban flowers... are all very beautiful. Having recorded many beautiful images, I will definitely share them on social networks to spread the values ​​of Thai xoe to more of my friends."

After 3 times of organization, it can be affirmed that the "Sparkling Circle Dance" Contest is both a unique cultural playground for teams to show their talents and passion for folk art and to honor the beauty of traditional culture, the spirit of community solidarity, bringing the value of Thai circle dance closer to domestic and international friends. When the festival ends, the echoes still remain in the hands holding each other, immersing in the circle dance, feeling the spirit of solidarity, the desire to stick together, connecting the hearts that love Nghia Lo - Muong Lo.

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the great national holidays, especially the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of Nghia Lo town (May 15, 1995 - May 15, 2025), the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), this year's "Shining Xoe Circle" contest is not only a highlight of spiritual and cultural activities but also a specific action to preserve and promote the value of "Thai Xoe Art", "turning heritage into assets" of Nghia Lo town.
