Teacher assaulting colleague: Ministry of Education and Training requests full report

After receiving feedback from the press, the Ministry of Education and Training has issued a document requesting the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training to provide a specific report on the case of a teacher assaulting a colleague in front of many students.

On October 9, the Ministry of Education and Training sent a document to the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training reporting the case of a teacher assaulting a colleague at Vo Nguyen Giap High School (Ea O commune, Dak Lak; formerly part of Ea Kar district, Dak Lak).

The Ministry of Education and Training has received media reports about an incident that occurred on October 3, in which a math teacher at Vo Nguyen Giap High School assaulted another teacher in the schoolyard. This action seriously violates the code of ethics for teachers and negatively affects the teaching environment.

The Ministry of Education and Training requested the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training to urgently inspect, verify, and report to the Ministry to clarify the developments of the incident, the responsibilities of the relevant collectives and individuals, and the handling measures that have been taken before October 14.

As Thanh Nien reported, at around 7:10 a.m. on October 3, Mr. NTS reminded Mr. D.T, a math teacher, about parking his motorbike in the wrong place in the school yard. Instead of cooperating, Mr. T. reacted harshly, using threatening words and physically attacking his colleague. Specifically, Mr. T. used his hand to squeeze Mr. S.'s neck twice in front of the school security and some students.

The incident caused Mr. S. to suffer a neck injury, affecting his psychology and teaching. The incident also caused psychological shock to the students who witnessed it, seriously affecting the safe educational environment; causing disorder on school grounds during working hours.

Vo Nguyen Giap High School requested the Department of Education and Training and the police to consider and handle the case, conduct an investigation, verify and clarify the intentional act of causing injury and disturbing public order of teacher D.T.
