Under the direction of the Navy, in early 2025, Naval Region 3 organized a working group to survey and assess the current status of some degraded items of the project to develop a plan to carry out the restoration and renovation of the Monument.
Accordingly, Naval Region 3 mobilized nearly 20 officers and soldiers along with other equipment and tools to march from Da Nang to Quang Tri to carry out the mission.

Despite the hot weather, the officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3 overcame all difficulties, coordinated with local forces to repaint and refurbish the project with more than 100 working days, ensuring technical and aesthetic aspects, as planned. The total cost of 50 million VND was supported by the Navy and promoted the internal strength of the unit. The project was highly appreciated by local government leaders and people.

On this occasion, the working delegation of Naval Region 3 led by Colonel Luu Thanh Chuong, Deputy Director of Political Affairs of the Region, together with representatives of local government leaders offered incense and flowers to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification at the Cua Viet Victory Monument.

This is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 / April 30, 2025) and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Navy (May 7, 1955 / May 7, 2025).
