The People's Committee of Cu Ewi commune (Cu Kuin district) has just issued a document requesting specialized departments and people in villages and hamlets in the commune to actively preserve and promote the national cultural identity, especially the use of traditional costumes of their ethnic groups.

Cu Ewi commune currently has 17 ethnic groups, of which nearly half of the population are ethnic minorities from the northern provinces. However, currently, the number of ethnic minorities using their traditional costumes in daily life in the commune is still very small.
Most of the traditional costumes of many ethnic minorities are only preserved in some households and individuals and are gradually being lost. Therefore, preserving and promoting the identity of traditional costumes of ethnic minorities is urgent, contributing to the sustainable development of culture, making traditional costumes popular, enhancing the national pride of the ethnic people living in the locality.

To effectively implement this content, the People's Committee of Cu Ewi commune continues to promote propaganda work among the masses to promote the spirit of national pride, promote the good traditional values of their nation, preserve and develop folk songs and traditional costumes; organize practical activities such as competitions, performances, traditional costume collections, Viet Bac Folk Culture Festival... to create a useful playground for ethnic minorities in the commune to participate in exchange and learning.
Along with that, actively propagate and mobilize people in villages and hamlets to use traditional costumes in daily life, major holidays, festivals, and important events of the family, village, hamlet, and locality.
