A representative of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that with the desire to bring new and attractive experiences to serve the people and tourists, this unit researched and reorganized the cannon firing simulation activity on the Hue Flag Tower, replacing the old oil-spraying cannon system with a new type of cannon, more environmentally friendly, no dust and smoke and a fresh space for the audience.
However, due to some unexpected technical problems such as: the early installation of equipment and fireworks a day in advance affected the quality of the fireworks when fired (the fireworks were damp and did not burn completely when falling). In addition, the calculation of the firing range and the zoning of the area for tourists to watch were not really thorough.
"We acknowledge the positive feedback from the people and tourists, seriously learn from our experiences and hope to continue to receive sharing and contributions so that we can improve. The Center commits to thoroughly reviewing the entire operating process in the coming time, closely coordinating with technical units and strengthening measures to ensure maximum safety for the next performances," said a representative of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center.

Previously, many clips spread on social networks, attracting many views and comments, recording scenes of people watching a cannonball firework display panicking and running away because the firework fell next to them.
According to the images, after being fired from the cannons on the Flag Tower - Ngo Mon Square in Hue, many fireworks flew into the air, crossed Ho Thanh Ha (the canal in front of Hue Citadel at the Flag Tower section) and fell on the tops of the frangipani trees and the grass in the Phu Van Lau area.

It is worth mentioning that when the fireworks fell, they were still glowing red. There were many people and tourists, including many children, standing watching and the fireworks fell right next to them, causing them to panic. Many people ran away, some hurriedly carried and led their children away from the area where the fireworks fell. Luckily, no one was injured.
This is the second night of cannon firing, taking place on the evening of May 3, carried out by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, within the framework of community service activities, held at 7:15 p.m. every Saturday. At the Ky Dai, there are a total of 8 cannons and can only fire a maximum of 9 rounds, the total number of bullets fired in one shot is 72, taking place within a period of 40 seconds.
