Attending the ceremony were journalist Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South, Head of the Steering Committee of the award; journalist Phan Toan Thang, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chief of the Association's Office, Head of the Organizing Committee of the award; journalist Nguyen Khac Van, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of SGGP Newspaper, Chairman of the Award Jury.

The Central Highlands Press Awards are held annually to honor outstanding press works that deeply reflect the political , economic, cultural and social life of the Central Highlands region.

From nearly 200 entries, the Organizing Committee selected 80 entries for the final round and awarded 2 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes and 10 Consolation Prizes in 4 categories: Print - Electronic Newspaper, Radio, Television.
Specifically, the First Prize went to the 4-part report "Keeping the deep roots of the Central Highlands" by the group of authors Le Thi Thu Huong, Le Quoc Thanh, Dinh Thi Thanh Nga ( Dak Lak Newspaper) - Print and Electronic Newspaper category; the work "MV "Thu Ca" and young people want to go far" by the group of authors Nguyen Huu Hoa Giang, Tran Tran Bao Ngoc, Nguyen Thi Hai Ha, Nguyen Vo Tung Lam ( Gia Lai Radio and Television Station) - Radio and Television category.
Second prizes were awarded to a series of articles and typical works of Lam Dong Newspaper, Gia Lai Newspaper, Lam Dong Radio and Television Station and Kon Tum Provincial Media Center.



Speaking at the award ceremony, journalist Nguyen Khac Van highly appreciated the quality of this year's works, and affirmed the clear transformation of regional journalism in digital transformation, taking advantage of multimedia to more vividly reflect social life and effectively carry out political tasks.


On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Lao Dong Newspaper presented 2,000 national flags to Lam Dong province to build flag routes; and awarded 25 scholarships (each worth 2 million VND) to poor but studious students in the area.
