Accordingly, the play-off match for tickets to the V.League 2025/26 will take place at 6:00 p.m. on June 27. However, the identities of the two teams will only be determined on the afternoon of June 22 after the final round of matches of the V.League 2024/25 takes place. A day before, the 2024/25 First Division will also end.

The V.League 2024/25 relegation race is coming to an end with three teams: Quang Nam, Da Nang and Binh Dinh. Of these, one team will be relegated, one team will have to play in the play-offs and the remaining team will be relegated to the First Division next season.

On the other hand, the ticket to the play-off match to be promoted from the First Division is being competed between Binh Phuoc (41 points) and PVF-CAND (40 points) before the final round.

Facing this scenario, VFF and VPF have prepared two neutral stadium options for the play-off match. If the V.League representative meets the runner-up of the First Division from the South, the match will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC). Conversely, if the opponent is from the North, Vinh Stadium ( Nghe An ) will be chosen as the venue.

To ensure transparency for these matches, the Organizing Committee has decided to hire foreign referees to officiate the matches Da Nang - SLNA, Binh Dinh - Hanoi in round 26 of the V.League and Binh Phuoc - Long An, PVF-CAND - Dong Nai in round 22 of the First Division. At the same time, these matches will all apply VAR.
