The Premier League has officially announced key dates for the 2025-2026 season, continuing to promise an exciting season.

According to the announcement, the most prestigious tournament in England will start the new season with the match between Liverpool and Bournemouth at 2:00 a.m. on August 16.

The highlight of the first round will be the “big battle” between Man United and Arsenal at 10:30 p.m. on August 17. Both sides spent big in the summer so they are expected to make a difference in the new season.

This schedule is expected to ensure maximum rest time for players after the 2024-2025 season ends.

The entire season will be played over 33 weekend rounds and 5 midweek rounds.

One notable point in the schedule is that the organizers continue to prioritize rest time for the players during the busy holiday period at the end of the year. No matches will be held on Christmas Eve (December 24).

At the same time, ensure that no two rounds take place within 60 hours, to protect the players' physical strength.

The season will officially end on May 24, 2026. This end date is arranged to allow players to prepare for the 2026 World Cup, which will begin just 18 days later in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The 2025-2026 season will welcome three new players, Leeds United, Burnley and Sunderland. They will replace the three teams that had to say goodbye last season: Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town.

Liverpool are the current champions of the Premier League. But the “Reds” will certainly have to compete fiercely with Man City, Arsenal or Chelsea to successfully defend the title in the 2025-2026 season.
