Verifying clip of HCMC traffic police "exchanging words" with passersby

On May 1, a clip was circulated on social media recording an argument between a citizen and a person wearing a uniform similar to that of a traffic police officer on the street. The clip, which is over 3 minutes long, was posted on Facebook by the NDGH account.

The incident happened on Highway 1, through Tan Kien Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. After much noise, a person wearing a uniform similar to a traffic police officer responded: "Are you causing trouble? Pull over, say I kicked you, show me the evidence, don't slander the police."

In the clip, a young man is seen sitting on the ground with his personal belongings scattered on the road. At the time of the incident, many people stopped their vehicles and watched curiously.

Speaking with Dan Tri reporter, the leader of An Lac Traffic Police Team said that they have received the information and are sending officers to report to clarify the incident.

After being posted, the clip received tens of thousands of interactions and many comments.
