On the afternoon of October 5, information from the People's Committee of Thuan Hoa Ward ( Hue City) said that local authorities had just coordinated with Nguyen Chi Dieu Secondary School to verify the incident of an 8th grade female student being assaulted by a classmate and forced to kneel right on the school grounds.

Previously, a clip appeared on social media showing a female student having her hair pulled and being slapped in the face by a classmate, while many other students stood around watching but did not intervene.
This image quickly spread and caused outrage in public opinion. According to the leader of the People's Committee of Thuan Hoa Ward, the incident occurred on the afternoon of October 2 at Nguyen Chi Dieu Secondary School. Immediately after receiving the information, the school invited parents and students involved to work, and at the same time mobilized the medical and school psychology department to support the injured female student to stabilize her health and spirit.
The school leaders said they were very sorry for the school violence incident and apologized to the parents and students affected. The school affirmed that it would handle the matter strictly according to regulations, but still focus on education , helping students clearly recognize their wrongdoings and correct their mistakes.
In addition, Nguyen Chi Dieu Secondary School will strengthen measures to prevent school violence, focus on educating life skills, behavioral skills and conflict resolution for students in the coming time.
