At the event, school representatives also affirmed that digital safety can only be sustainable when students have the skills to identify risks, know how to seek support and proactively share with teachers and families. Wellspring said that the school focuses on three pillars of capacity: foreign language, diplomatic capacity and digital capacity, in which cyber safety skills, data thinking and responsible use of AI are considered essential requirements.

To ensure a safe and controlled digital learning environment, the school pioneered the implementation of the Empower AI - A Future-Ready Program according to MIT and UNESCO standards; has more than 259 teachers certified as Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE); the school digital security system includes AI cameras, classroom firewalls, and device management platforms.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Vinh Son - Vice Chairman of the Wellspring System Education Council, General Principal of Wellspring Hanoi said that to effectively protect children, it is necessary to build three layers of "shields": technology, skills and connection between family - school - society.

According to Dr. Son, parental support is an important factor because children are easily affected by bad and toxic content; at the same time, it is recommended that families create a close environment, encourage children to exchange and access positive content instead of letting children face the online environment alone.

At the discussion, Ms. Vu Kim Chi - Education Officer of UNICEF Vietnam said that UNICEF is coordinating with the Ministry of Education and Training to deploy a digital competency framework for students from 2019, while supporting teacher training, providing materials on digital safety and promoting youth empowerment initiatives.

UNICEF is committed to continuing to work with the Government of Viet Nam, the Ministry of Education and Training, schools and businesses to develop digital safety education programs, strengthen mental health support and expand initiatives to children in remote and isolated areas.

Cyber Peace 2025 continues to spread the 6-point set of principles on digital safety compiled by Department A05 (Ministry of Public Security), including safe access, healthy communication, responsible sharing, staying connected with family and school, equipping digital skills and maintaining proactive prevention.

The event affirmed that digital security is the responsibility of the whole society, in which technology only plays a instrumental role; the decisive factor is still the companionship of family, school and community.
