Building a clean and strong Son La Provincial Police Inspectorate

With the slogan of action "Proactive, exemplary, disciplined, responsible, effective" and "Building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern Son La Police force" in the spirit of Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW dated March 16, 2022 of the Politburo, the Son La Provincial Police Inspectorate has made positive and effective contributions to the work of building and rectifying the increasingly clean and strong Provincial Police force.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quoc Phong, Chief Inspector of Son La Provincial Police, said: From 2020 to now, the Provincial Police Inspectorate has advised the Board of Directors to carry out 26 inspections, administrative inspections, and specialized inspections at 267 units inside and outside the force, ensuring time and quality; many inspection and examination contents have focused on areas that are prone to negativity, corruption, or easily lead to violations by officers and soldiers. Through inspection and examination, units have been promptly guided to properly implement regulations on all aspects of work, made many recommendations, and requested units to urgently rectify, learn from experience, and immediately overcome shortcomings and limitations.

"In addition, the unit has prepared content, coordinated with staff units and the provincial police leaders to welcome and work with three inspection and examination delegations of the Ministry of Public Security Inspectorate. Based on the results of the inspection and examination, the unit has advised on the implementation of recommendations and synthesized a report of results with the inspection and examination delegation to ensure quality and on time as required" - Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quoc Phong added.

Along with that, the Son La Provincial Police Inspectorate also advised the Board of Directors to issue a Plan to implement Circular No. 98/2021/TT-BCA dated October 20, 2021 of the Minister of Public Security regulating the work of receiving citizens to make complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections in the People's Public Security; carefully prepare the necessary conditions to serve the Director of the Provincial Public Security to periodically receive citizens every month. Since the beginning of the term, the unit has received 127 times with 172 citizens coming to the Provincial Public Security's citizen reception location to submit complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections; carefully prepare the content, advise the Board of Directors to maintain the work of receiving citizens periodically.

The Provincial Police Inspectorate has received and processed 739/739 complaints, denunciations, recommendations, reflections, and crime reports sent by citizens and all levels and sectors. In addition, the unit has verified and resolved many cases, recommendations, and reflections under the direction of the Provincial Police Director; including difficult and complicated cases related to many different fields of work and locations. The verification results have exonerated many officers and soldiers, and at the same time proposed that the Board of Directors consider, direct the review, and handle responsibilities for units and individuals who have violated.

Along with that, dozens of files were appraised to resolve complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections related to cadres and soldiers of the units; at the same time, letters and petitions related to complaints and denunciations of more than 12,000 cadres and soldiers serving the emulation, commendation, Party development, organization, personnel work, and annual rank promotion and salary increase were reviewed.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Phuc, Head of the Complaints and Denunciations Inspection Team, Son La Provincial Police Inspectorate, said: In the current situation, there are more and more challenges, especially material and spiritual temptations, requiring each inspector to always be alert, honest and objective. In addition to inspections and checks to correct and guide units to properly and well perform all aspects of work, the Provincial Police Inspectorate must proactively detect violations to propose handling according to regulations.

Along with professional activities, with the spirit of "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", the volunteer movement, towards the community has also been actively responded by the Provincial Police Inspectorate, in which it has contributed to the charity fund under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Police; voluntarily contributed, organized activities to visit the families of martyrs, activities to repay gratitude, give gifts to people in communes of especially difficult region III... with a total amount of more than 250 million VND.

Notable activities include: Coordinating with the Youth Union and Women's Union of the Provincial Police Logistics Department to present 1,500 gifts to students in especially difficult circumstances at the Kindergarten, primary and secondary school students of Song Khua commune, Van Ho district; presenting two televisions and two water purifiers to the school with a total value of 125 million VND; presenting gifts to families in especially difficult circumstances in Tan Xuan commune, Van Ho district from contributions from officers and soldiers in the unit; visiting, encouraging and presenting gifts to policy families in Chieng On commune, Yen Chau district; Hang Dong commune, Bac Yen district, with a total value of 30 million VND...

In addition, the Provincial Police Inspectorate also presented the People's Committee of Tan Xuan Commune, Van Ho District with a set of solar lights; presented the Commune Police with a water purifier, a set of computers and a set of "Citizen Reception Location" signs with a total value of more than 25 million VND; thereby contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of the Tan Xuan Commune Police force; consolidating relationships, building a strong People's Police force at the grassroots level.

With their efforts and endeavors, since the beginning of the term, the Son La Provincial Police Inspectorate has been awarded many certificates of merit by all levels and sectors; including the Ministry of Public Security's Certificate of Merit to five individuals; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to three individuals; the Party Committee and the Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors awarded Certificates of Merit to nine groups and 42 individuals; the Government Inspector General awarded the "For the cause of inspection" Medal to two individuals; including one officer who was awarded the title "Emulation fighter of the entire People's Public Security force" by the Minister of Public Security.
