Building Phong Dien to meet advanced new rural district standards by 2025

The plan aims to continue implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development in conjunction with effectively restructuring the agricultural sector, developing the rural economy , and urbanization, in depth, and sustainably; building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas. At the same time, focus on improving the material and spiritual life of rural people; promoting gender equality; building synchronous and gradually modern rural socio-economic infrastructure, ensuring a bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe rural landscape environment, rich in traditional cultural identity, adapting to climate change and sustainable development.

Accordingly, in 2025, the city will continue to improve the quality of the criteria for model new-style rural communes; complete the construction of 2 communes meeting the model new-style rural standards (1 commune in Phong Dien district and 1 commune in Vinh Thanh district) and strive to build 2 more model new-style rural communes (1 commune in Phong Dien district and 1 commune in Co Do district) and 1 district meeting the advanced new-style rural standards (Phong Dien district). At the same time, continue to review, consolidate and improve the quality of 4 districts meeting the new-style rural standards to ensure compliance with the set of criteria for new-style rural districts in the 2021-2025 period.

To achieve the set goals, the plan focuses on the following contents: propaganda and training work; planning and project development for new rural areas; developing production associated with restructuring the agricultural sector and increasing people's income; developing basic infrastructure works at the commune level; improving the rural environment; promoting the development of health education, building new rural cultural life, maintaining national defense, security and order in rural areas; mobilizing and allocating resources for building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas...
