BUILDING CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT

Implementing the Action Program of the City Party Committee on building a culture and people of Dong Thap that are affectionate, dynamic and creative, the People's Committee of Cao Lanh City has issued a plan to specify the tasks and solutions to build a culture and people of Cao Lanh City "Emotional, dynamic and creative". In which, the People's Committee of the City directs the departments, branches and sectors of the city and the People's Committees of communes and wards to propagate and disseminate knowledge of history, culture and people of Dong Thap in general and people of Cao Lanh City in particular to cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers through participating in studying and thoroughly grasping the resolutions and thematic conclusions of the Provincial Party Committee, term XI, so that each person can be a propagandist, introducing and promoting the historical, cultural and human values of Cao Lanh City - the Capital of the Land of Pink Lotus.

The City People's Committee is interested in repairing, renovating and embellishing historical relics in the area such as: Tam Vi Dai Than Temple, Van Thanh Temple, My Ngai Communal House... to honor the cultural values left by our ancestors; at the same time, reminding the responsibility of today's generations to preserve and promote cultural values, the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the nation, exploiting potential advantages to contribute to serving and developing the city's tourism .

The 1954 Northward Rally Site in Cao Lanh was recognized as a National Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Along with that, the locality coordinated with relevant units to carry out the dossier to demarcate the Protection Area according to regulations to supplement the scientific dossier to propose the ranking of a National Monument for the 1954 Northward Rally site in Cao Lanh (located in Hamlet 6, Ward 6) and was recognized by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on February 24, 2023.
