DTO - On the morning of April 5, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 06 dated December 31, 2021 on building a culture and people of Dong Thap that are affectionate, dynamic, and creative (abbreviated as Resolution No. 06) and Conclusion No. 249 dated December 1, 2021 on continuing to promote tourism development, contributing to building the image of Dong Thap, period 2021 - 2025 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term XI (abbreviated as Conclusion No. 249). Comrade Huynh Minh Tuan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Comrade Huynh Thi Hoai Thu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired the conference.

In recent times, the work of building a culture and people of Dong Thap that are affectionate, dynamic and creative has been paid attention to by Party committees, authorities, socio-political organizations and people in the province and achieved many positive results. Cultural, artistic, physical education - sports and tourism activities have developed, creating highlights and unique marks. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" and family work are increasingly going into depth. Up to now, the whole province has recognized more than 370,200 Learning Families, 850 Learning Clans; by the end of 2024, the whole province will have over 95% of households meeting cultural standards and over 99% of cultural hamlets and villages. Historical and cultural relics have been invested in preservation and promotion; literature and art have gradually improved the quality of activities.

Comrade Nguyen Van Dinh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department spoke and proposed solutions to raise awareness among cadres, party members and people about the position and role of culture and people of Dong Thap.

The implementation and concretization of Conclusion No. 249 has been carried out extensively from the province to the grassroots level. Since then, the awareness of cadres, party members and people about the importance of tourism development associated with building the local image has been raised, creating consensus in both the political system and the people. The total number of tourists has met and exceeded the target; in the period of 2021 - 2024, the total number of tourists reached more than 18.5 million, with total revenue of more than 8,520 billion VND. The tourism image of "Dong Thap - Pure as the soul of lotus" has been widely spread... contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Huynh Minh Tuan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the results achieved in implementing Resolution No. 06 and Conclusion No. 249. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, provincial departments, branches and localities continue to focus on seriously implementing Resolution No. 06 and related documents on building a culture and people of Dong Thap that are affectionate, dynamic and creative through specific, effective and practical models. Strengthen propaganda to raise awareness and consciousness of localities, units, businesses and people of all walks of life about the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions to build a culture and people of Dong Thap that are affectionate, dynamic and creative and develop tourism associated with propaganda and dissemination of the Dong Thap Human Standards. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management; Quality and effectiveness of cultural, literary and artistic activities associated with the preservation and promotion of the value of cultural heritage, historical-cultural relics and cultural institutions.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that it is necessary to continue developing tourism, gradually making tourism an important economic sector of the province; improving the scale and quality of products and services, contributing to building the image of the locality - Dong Thap province is one of the attractive destinations in the Mekong Delta region. Promoting socialization, calling for investment; investing in developing transport infrastructure, tourism infrastructure; effectively implementing the Dong Thap Tourism Development Project to 2030...
