Dai Binh Prison and Loc Thanh Commune People's Committee organized the groundbreaking ceremony to build a house of gratitude for the family of Mrs. Ka Srem (daughter of Martyr Huynh Minh Thuan).

This is a project carried out by Dai Binh Prison in coordination with local authorities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Ms. Ka Srem is the daughter of Martyr Huynh Minh Thuan (commonly known as K'Thet), former Deputy Chief of the People's Procuracy of the old Bao Loc district. On May 25, 1978, comrade Huynh Minh Thuan sacrificed his life while being attacked by the Bao Loc district police force while pursuing the remnants of the Fulro army in the Bao Loc pass area.

Ms. Ka Srem is in difficult circumstances and has not been able to build a new house. Understanding the family's situation, Dai Binh Prison coordinated with local authorities to support the construction of a house of gratitude for Ms. Ka Srem's family.

The house has a total area of over 85 square meters, with 1 living room, 3 bedrooms and a toilet. The total cost of building the house is estimated at about 140 million VND; of which, Dai Binh Prison supports 120 million VND and the family contributes 20 million VND. In addition, during the construction process, Dai Binh Prison will mobilize officers and soldiers to contribute working days to build the house.

This is an activity of profound humanitarian significance, helping Ms. Ka Srem's family have a place to worship martyrs and stabilize their lives; demonstrating the morality of remembering the source of water when drinking, repaying gratitude and implementing the Armed Forces Movement to join hands for the poor, leaving no one behind, contributing to the locality in taking better care of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions.

It is known that recently, during holidays and Tet, with the attention of local authorities, the People's Procuracy of Bao Lam district also regularly visited and gave gifts to express gratitude to the family of Martyr Huynh Minh Thuan.
