Dynamic Drives Giessen GmbH, a company in Germany, has just introduced an electric pickup bike called Intelectra Cargo Bike.
The Intelectra Cargo Bike is a four-wheeled configuration, featuring a driver's seat with intuitive controls at the front, a slightly forward-tilted cargo compartment, and is encased within a sturdy aluminum frame.
According to the company, the ergonomically designed driver's seat's forward position allows for quicker entry and exit, and the driver sits in an upright position instead of the usual slouched forward position.

The saddle can be adjusted to the rider's leg length, while the handlebars are mounted on both sides.
The rear cargo box is actually a 1.2m long pickup truck-like compartment that can carry many types of goods, even people with a total load of 450kg.
Thanks to the 1,500W electric motor with a maximum torque of 190 Nm, it helps pull a 4.5-ton load uphill quite easily.
This quad bike can reach a top speed of 25km/h, fast enough for city commuting, slow enough to be safe for the rider.

With a 1,400 Wh battery pack, the Intelectra will have a range of up to 93km per charge, depending on the powertrain configuration and payload.
Charging takes about an hour and a half. Regenerative braking will help increase range, especially going downhill, helping to recharge the battery faster.
Dynamic Drives offers two versions of the Intelectra Cargo Bike - Cargo L and Cargo XL, starting at $10,170 for the low-end version (Intelectra Cargo Bike - Cargo L), with deliveries starting this fall.

The Intelectra Cargo Bike still has a foot pedal mechanism, so it is still called a bicycle in Germany. Photo: Dynamic Drives.
