According to VNA, on the evening of May 8 (local time), the plane carrying General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived at Vnukovo 2 airport (Moscow), starting an official visit to the Russian Federation and attending the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War from May 8-11, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Welcoming General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation at the airport were Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and many Russian Foreign Ministry officials.

The official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation was solemnly held at Vnukovo 2 airport.

Immediately after the official welcoming ceremony at the airport, General Secretary To Lam met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and attended a solemn reception for leaders of countries attending the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
